Although pharmaceuticals and personal care products are used to treat disease, ease suffering, beautify, and prolong life, their usage and disposal should be more regulated, reduced, or avoided, because they are polluting our aquifers and surface waters, destroying aquatic environments, and poisoning agricultural soil.
