Essay 1

Over Population of Sea Otters

The Rise of Sea Otters, the Fall of the Dive Season

Thesis: Although sea otters appear cute, cuddly, and harmless to the marine life environment, overpopulation of sea otters has a negative impact on the marine environment because they eat at least one-third of their weight in gooey ducks and sea cucumbers, they cause divers openings in their diving zones which causes a dramatic drop in their daily quota of gooey ducks and sea cucumbers, and they frequently reproduce causing more of the surrounding marine life to be consumed to feed their increasing numbers.
